PTS Insight was originally founded in 1993 by Malcolm Yates as Psychometric Testing Solutions. Malcolm’s background in Human Resources management enabled him to combine his interests in people development and software development. Over the years Malcolm created, measured, enhanced and adapted our in-house personality profiling software program (PTS-PPS) such that it is highly valued as a robust profiling assessment tool amongst our clients.
In 2004 Malcolm was joined by Ann Crockett-McLean who had a background in marketing at a senior leadership level. Together Malcolm and Ann have built up a loyal client base providing candidate recruitment assessment, facilitating team development and executive leadership coaching.
Both Malcolm and Ann are fully qualified and experienced in psychometric profiling, occupational testing and executive coaching.
In 2019 Malcolm will step back from the helm as Ann takes ownership of the business.
Before joining PTS in 2004 I had more than 15 years commercial experience, primarily in marketing. I worked for The Boots Company, Mars and EMAP, operating at senior leadership positions including board director.
My experience of business and of people is broad and varied and I am continually enthused by working with individuals and teams to help them reach their potential. I am a qualified and experienced practitioner of psychometric and occupational assessment (Level A & B). I also hold the European Certificate of Approved Practitioners (EFPA) and I am registered with the British Psychological Society. Currently I am close to completing the ILM Level 7 Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring.
Alongside spending time with my family, I also enjoy playing and coaching hockey.
I have spent 35 years within the field of recruitment, training and occupational testing. Starting in the field of electronics and other technical training and then moving into the field of general training and in the last twenty years working in management and team development.
I am a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development. I am a qualified and experienced practitioner of psychometric and occupational testing being qualified to practitioner level A & B, I also hold the European Certificate of Approved Practitioners (EFPA) and I am registered with the British Psychological Society.
I am a keen exponent of employee welfare and actively support all initiatives that improve the recruitment process to give all people an equal opportunity to secure employment and develop.
My main areas of interest are in psychometrics, leadership skills and team dynamics.
