Sickness and Job Performance

I was working with one of our clients today and retested a member of their staff who had completed our MA1 mental ability test some months ago. At the time of the original test the individual was feeling unwell and didn’t get a very good result. As one would expect, the individual has now returned to full health and the results today are considerably better than before.

This shows that even feeling unwell can have a considerable impact upon the individual’s mental ability to perform a worthwhile job role, proving the point that when a member of staff does make the effort to attend work whilst unwell it can have a major impact on their ability to function in their job. Unwell staff can be a liability to themselves and often pass on their ailments to others too!

The best place for unwell staff is usually at home with their loved ones looking after them.
